A wrap on The Supersonic Cup Winter Major 2024 ❄️

The Supersonic Cup Winter Major 2024 was a huge success and a highlight of the inaugural RE//PERTH Winter Arts Festival, presented by ARTRAGE.

The Supersonic Cup Winter Major featured a single-day online competition for the qualifiers and a two-day LAN event for the finals.

SPACEJUMP at Pixel Expo 👾

Get ready for Pixel Expo Act III held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on the 28-29 September! SPACEJUMP will be setting up our crowd-favourite esports activation and free play zone, so you can jump right into the action. And that’s not all—we’ll be handing out a bunch of merch and other awesome prizes all weekend long.

KICK makes moves in the esports space 📺

Counter-Strike esports circuit BLAST Premier has entered a non-exclusive partnership with streaming platform KICK for the remainder of its 2024 season, which began on July 29. KICK, a growing streaming platform known for major deals with streamers, has recently ventured into esports. In November 2023, KICK partnered with Australian football club Melbourne Victory, and earlier this year, it streamed Counter-Strike 2's first-ever Major, PGL Major Copenhagen 2024.

Chiefs Esports Club announces partnership with Aussie Broadband 🤝

Aussie Broadband is strengthening its position as Australia's most trusted Telco by signing a 12-month sponsorship agreement with Oceanic esports organisation, Chiefs Esports Club. As part of this partnership, Chiefs Esports Club and Aussie Broadband will collaborate to develop gamer-focused experiences, products, and services. Additionally, Australian organisation Team Bliss, which acquired Chiefs Esports Club last year, will also be part of the deal, although both brands will continue to operate independently.

IOC approves Olympic Esports Games launch for 2025 in Saudi Arabia 🏆

Saudi Arabia is set to host the first-ever Olympic Esports Games in 2025 as a part of a 12-year partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Integrating esports into the Olympic framework highlights the remarkable growth and mainstream acceptance of competitive gaming. This inclusion in the Olympics marks a significant milestone, bridging the gap between traditional sports and digital competitions.
