Former DreamHack Leaders Unveil a New LAN Gaming Festival 🖥️
Former DreamHack executives have launched a new gaming festival brand called Glitched, aiming to shake up the LAN gaming scene. Their goal is to create an annual festival featuring esports competitions, LAN parties, and innovative activities, pushing the boundaries of traditional gaming events. The first Glitched event is set for June 2025 in Sweden, a location with a rich history in esports, including hosting major League of Legends and Counter-Strike tournaments.
Riot Games Reassesses League of Legends Esports in Oceania🌏
Riot Games has announced a significant shift in its approach to League of Legends esports in Oceania. With the League of Legends Circuit: Oceania (LCO) coming to an end, Riot plans to reassess its resources and create a more streamlined path for players to enter the larger APAC esports ecosystem starting in 2025. RLCS 2025 Brings Big Changes with New Formats and Expanded Competitions🚀
Psyonix, the developer of Rocket League, has announced format changes for the RLCS 2025 season, which will now feature two Major events and a total prize pool of $5 million. The most exciting change is the addition of a one-versus-one competition alongside the traditional three-versus-three format. There will also be last-chance qualifiers for the World Championship, expanding the number of competing teams from 16 to 20. These updates are set to increase opportunities for players and fans alike.
